Alexandra’s trajectory from DJ and producer through to film composer has resulted in an unmistakably cinematic style in her more recent productions. Her signature sound revolves around the creative use of sonic space and thought-provoking cinematic stereo imagery. Her experience scoring a range of genres and working to diverse sound specifications has deeply influenced many of her own musical arrangements. Alexandra masterfully blends raw-edged, melancholic soundscapes with bright and playful elements, and offsets euphoric builds, ethereal vocals and melodic synths with gritty, minimal sound design and breaksy drum production.

Her music naturally reflects a sense of duality and she injects a distinctive cinematic flair and emotional intensity into many of her productions, inviting her listeners into "soundscapes with storylines".
BLAH BLAH BLAH
In spite of the immense challenges of the past year Alexandra had a surprisingly fruitful 2020, with 2021 already yielding hard-hitting, snarky and sharply witty single 'BLAH BLAH BLAH' (available on all streaming platforms from 26th March). This is a brazen and bolshy collaboration with comedy writer, actor and vocalist Kat Ronson, in the wake of her latest series 'LADS'.
Both of these women have their roots in West Yorkshire, injecting their unmistakable Northern charm into the record. A collaboration that began as a lockdown passion project quickly morphed into a record that reflects both of their energies and personalities. This single is essentially a sonic middle-finger, written as an antidote to the frustrations of a year spent in lockdown. Ronson's unapologetic lyrics and delivery combined with Alexandra's gritty and punchy UK-oriented production deliver a high energy stand-out comedic track that cuts through the bullshit, bringing a playful sense of mischief that's so sorely needed in a grim social climate.
