Composer/Sound Designer/Music Producer

Alexandra is a Yorkshire-born composer, sound designer and music producer whose work is driven by bold creative instinct, emotional depth, and a fearless commitment to artistic vision.  Her approach to music is as much intuitive as it is technical, thanks to an almost supernatural ability to interpret complex subtext and anticipate shifts, connecting her deeply with stories and characters. 
 

She studied Popular Music at the Liverpool School of Art & Design, graduating with the highest First Class Honours ever awarded in the course’s history - an early reflection of both her technical mastery and artistic ambition.  She then went on to refine her craft at Spirit Studios in Manchester, specialising in music production and arrangement, once again graduating top of her class.

 

Screen composing seemed to gravitate to her automatically, and Alexandra relocated to London without hesitation to pursue her career in film, bringing her bold, cinematic sensibility with her.

Now back in her beloved Yorkshire, her portfolio now spans feature films, shorts, advertising, sonic branding and beyond.  Alongside her screen work, she composes and produces for podcasts, sync libraries and audiobooks, and her versatility is always anchored by a cinematic sensibility and a willingness to take creative risks.

Over the past year, Alexandra has been working as a composer and sound designer at WMP Studios - an esteemed bespoke music collective in Yorkshire, where she is surrounded by exceptional creative talent every day.  There, she has developed a strong voice in sonic branding, crafting exciting and immersive audio identities with ease and confidence, and honed her skills in writing for the advertising world.
